Baymont by Wyndham Sandusky

I give this place a 5 star. Yes I have stayed in more upscale hotels but for a budget hotel this is awesome. It's location is key, the staff is amazing and the rooms were clean. I have 2 high functioning autistic children and the staff took to both of them and made them feel welcome. They were so accommodating in every way. I will stay here again. Only thing I wish they had was a walk in shower but it wasn't that bad due to the handbags and the ledge wasn't very high.

A nice hotel that is well-maintained. The front desk staff was super pleasant and welcoming. The housekeeping staff said hello as we walked by. Breakfast is included and has standard hotel continental breakfast foods. The area is kept clean and stocked. The rooms are a decent size. Our room had both a chair in the main area and a built-in loveseat in the closet area. That was a pleasant addition. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows. There’s a mini-fridge and microwave. The room even has a desk area, and of course a TV and dresser. The bathrooms are pretty open. A good chunk of room to shower, dry off, get ready, and place toiletries for a few people. The toilet is a slow flush, so make sure you hold down the handle until the toilet is done. Otherwise, you’ll be calling the front desk in a panic. The parking lot is good. There should be plenty of parking and it can accommodate buses. Very well-lit and safe. There is a Mexican restaurant that shares the parking lot (kind of) but I didn’t get a chance to go there. I like how the hotel is centrally-located in Sandusky. You aren’t far from downtown, malls and mini-malls, or Cedar Point. It’s located on a main stretch of road so it’s easy to find and easy to get to where you want to be.

It’s super close to Cedar Point, and it’s one of the cheaper hotels near the park. Breakfast was delicious and front desk people were friendly. Our room had an issue with the bathtub not draining, but we only stayed for one night. If you’re up in Sandusky for a day or two and really only use your hotel room to crash after a fun day, this hotel is exactly what you need. Would come back.

Only real issue for me and it was simply due to my sensory driven child refusing to sleep with anyone. He ended up in the floor because they dont have rollaway bed or cots. It was not their issue but it would have been nice if they had them in case.

If your looking for a day or two this is the place for you it wasn’t to expensive the breakfast was good the staff are actually very very amazing they were on top of absolutely everything very kind as well. Only issue was the tv didn’t work in my room but the WiFi is fine definitely would come back when on a cedar point trip again

You can only give so many stars to a two-star budget hotel, but these guys were great for what it was. Of course the place was a little run down and showing its age at this price point but it was clean and the beds were comfortable and nothing was broken. Sink drained a little slow, toilet. Took a couple of flushes but other than that everything was just fine. If you plan on spending all your money at Cedar point and need to save some cash on the lodging, you could do worse than staying here.

The staff was fantastic. The room was clean but the beds were smaller than I would have wanted. They were comfortable however. No fitness center, as it was full of junk.

Great hotel. Close to Cedar Point. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. Worth the price.
